By supporting our first ever Christmas appeal for Gold Scholarships, you're giving students from disadvantaged and under-represented backgrounds something they never thought possible – the means to attend and thrive at university.
Your help opens the door to the successful and fulfilling university experience that otherwise may be out of reach.
Our Scholars become part of the ‘Gold Family’ and are provided with the advice, support and encouragement they need to make the most out of their time at Bath.
A donation today helps our scholars with living expenses, enables them to participate in activities that develop their employability and, crucially, free them from having to take on regular work that detracts from their studies.
Gold scholars are encouraged to complete 50 hours of volunteering, fundraising or outreach opportunities each year. Through this they develop transferable skills, grow their self-confidence and enjoy new experiences.
Scholars also receive regular networking and advice sessions with Gold Mentors, donors and industry professionals. These Mentors come from a variety of backgrounds and share valuable experience, for example, of interviewing or networking techniques.
