Please help open the door to a great opportunity

For many of our Gold Scholars, opportunities to discover new interests and build the skills to develop a career are out of reach – whether that’s due to cost, location or the need to work instead.

The Gold Opportunities Fund exists to help our Gold scholars achieve their dreams.

The Fund supports our scholars' personal development and helps increase their employability. It’s also enabled them to give back to the community, through sharing newly-gained skills with university clubs and societies, and volunteering with UK and international charities.

“I am so grateful for the Gold Opportunities Fund and the generosity of donors. It has made an opportunity I didn’t think would be possible into a reality.” (Gold Scholar)

As lockdown restrictions ease, opportunities for travel and volunteering will open up. There will be an even greater need for the Gold Opportunities Fund as scholars plan for the summer vacation ahead.

With your help we can support more students than ever before.

What could your donation do?

£25 could contribute to a scholar’s train tickets to an event or conference

£75 could provide accommodation for a scholar on an unpaid placement

£200 could help pay for a vocational course

To help the Fund support more scholars, Kate Aldridge is matching the first £2,000 we receive so every £1 you donate could be doubled.

KAIJIE

A Gold Opportunities Fund grant enabled Kaijie to complete a summer placement at a pharmacy in Bristol. He gained valuable work experience and great insight into the running of a busy community pharmacy business. A rewarding and challenging placement during a pandemic, Kaijie often worked in a customer-facing role, helping customers with prescriptions, and developed useful interpersonal skills as a result.

Donate today to help our students reach their full potential, regardless of their circumstances.
